From design to build start
WELCOME
Congratulations - you’re on the way to a larger, improved and more characterful home. Now it’s time to turn your ideas into design drawings that can become reality.
DESIGN
Our designer visits your home for a full measured survey. He works with you to produce a detailed drawing to meet your needs, and more.
PARTY WALL
Before work can commence on your build you must gain approval from any neighbours who share a party wall. It’s best to do this as soon as possible - Jon Pritchard will refer you to trusted specialists if you wish.
CUSTOMER PORTAL
We use specialist cloud-based software to manage your project - from estimate through to warranty. You can access a personalised customer portal to keep track of your project every step of the way. Ask us for more information.
BUILDING CONSENT
Once you’ve signed off your Design, we send it to a Structural
Engineer who produces a structural drawing vital for your build.
All drawings are then submitted by us for Building Consent.
SECONDARY DESIGN
With the design done it’s time to choose your fixtures and fittings and other elements of your new rooms. Our Project Co-ordinator will guide you through this part of the process.
ORGANISATION
The Loft Log Book we provide, along with your personal web portal, all help with managing your choices along the way. All communications are recorded, any price changes are immediately clear and you sign off on everything.
THE PERFECT ENSUITE
If you’re adding a bathroom, it’s great to choose well before your build starts. We can offer you a wide range of choices of bathroom furniture at competitive prices, as well as wetrooms and underfloor heating.
4-6 WEEKS PRE-START
Four to six weeks before your build starts our Business Manager and Operations Manager will visit you in your home. They will double-check all your choices and answer any questions concerning the build itself.
FINAL SIGN OFF
Before we order everything, we run through all your choices one last time. Any changes are signed off by both sides, then orders are placed and you’re ready to go.
YOUR BUILD COMMENCES
You can see here what a typical build process looks like. Note that this will vary in detail and length, depending on your house type and loft requirements.
